This small rectangular leather pouch contains two wooden combs, one of which was double-sided. The other was roughly half of a single-sided comb. Found in the bow of the ship, the comb kit was near the human skeleton, perhaps its owner. Folded in half and closed with a triangular flap, the pouch had a single row of stitching holes along all sides. These combs were among several that were likely brought on board for personal use (rather than as trade items). One appeared to be made of tortoise shell.
