Skull of adult male from Horn Shelter (note perforated coyote tooth pendant, adhering with cemented matrix to the base of the cranium, lower left). The man had suffered substantial tool loss and dental attrition before death. Missing are the right central maxillary incisor and the top halves of the mandibular first molars, which exposed the pulp. There was also abnormal bone growth suggesting abcess or infection above two of the molars. TARL Archives.
