Artistís depiction of the interior of a flat-roofed rectangular house at a La Junta village similar to those described by early Spanish visitors. Although somewhat fanciful, the mix of crops (corn and squash/pumpkins) and wild foods (mesquite beans and what could be the leg of a pronghorn antelope) rings true to Spanish accounts and emerging archeological data. This 1994 painting by artist Feather Radha can be seen in Restaurante Lobby's OK in Ojinaga, Mexico. Courtesy Elsa Socorro Arroyo.
