| This prickly monster has lots of uses! Pick the leaf pads (very carefully) and burn or scrape off the spines. Slice and cook the pads for a meal that is good tasting but rather slimy, like okra. Many people today still eat "Nopalitos" (as they are called), particularly in scrambled eggs. |
