| Archeologists found many
buffalo jawbones, or mandibles, in the deep layers of bone from Bonfire
Shelter, scene of several mass kills thousands of years ago. These specimens,
along with thousands of others, are kept at the Vertebrate Paleontology
Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin, where ancient bones are
studied. |
