Paleontologist Grayson Meade holds the massive canine of a cave lion (Panthera atrox), one of many now-extinct creatures that prowled the Edwards Plateau during the Pleistocene. The tooth and a variety of other fossil bones were recovered in the deeper layers of Kincaid. TARL archives (UV2-50).
