This sketch depicts a small, single-pen log cabin with a central doorway opening onto a porch and a side-gable chimney on the right side. We believe these details generally match the Williams log cabin, which faced south for protection from the north wind. Since we found no broken flat glass, it is likely that the cabin did not have glass windowpanes. Rather, the Williams house probably had open windows with hinged shutters.
