Two views of the livestock pond in the corral complex.

The left photo is looking east and shows the pond location and the location of the backfilled Trench 1. The right photo is looking north and shows the concentration of rounded limestone and flint cobbles, called Rock Alignment P, on the right with a natural limestone outcrop on the left. When Ransom Williams excavated the pond, he piled the natural stoney clay fill all along the west edge of the depression to form a berm. Through time, the fine-grain sediment washed away, leaving only the rounded stones behind.
