Rock Wall E1, corral complex.

Rock Wall E1 represents a substantial rock wall built as part of the corral complex to contain livestock in the northern wooded area. These photos and profile show rock wall sections that are between 2 and 3 ft tall. The profile shows an interesting phenomenon observed in several other locations, namely the addition of a wooden fence post within the wall, and one or more strands of barbed wire were found running along the tops of some of the walls. Rock walls would have required constant maintenance, so the addition of posts and barbed wire was apparently done at some point when barbed wire had become readily available and affordable.
