A hunter carrying a bow and arrow pursues a herd of buffalo, one of which has been wounded. The label identifies the man as “Bigfoot, the husband of Ollie Johnson.” Note the unusual depiction of the horse's gait, with rear leg extended forward. Most ledger depictions of horses in motion are drawn in "rocking-horse" style, with rear legs extended outward. These stylistic variations within the Schild drawings suggest they are the work of multiple artists. TARL Archives.
