“Dancing Rock” is a rare petroform display of several boulders pecked with fanciful depictions and arranged on a canyon ledge near the Big Bend area. Thought to date to the early historic period, the display may have ritual significance. The top image shows one of the boulders as it actually appears, the bottom an enhanced version with figures outlined in white. Photos by Robert Mallouf.
