Antelope Creek 22 before the extensive WPA excavations in 1938-1939. This photo was probably taken in the mid-1930s. The ruins are along the edge of the flat-topped ridge in the foreground. Rubble piles from earlier excavations can be seen behind the white sign posting the site for the Panhandle-Plains Historical Society. (The red arrow points to a distinctive reference point.)
