Early Paleoindian points continue to be recovered across the Big Bend. The specimens illustrated here have only recently come to the attention of researchers. Though no well-defined Paleoindian sites have yet been found in the eastern Trans-Pecos, the fact that such projectiles are still being discovered today suggests that an excavation-worthy site will eventually come to light.
