Explore a Caddo Village!

The year is 1200 A.D.—roughly 800 years ago! The area is the Pineywoods of what is now East Texas.

It's a sunny early autumn day—a perfect time to visit a Caddo village. Hundreds of people live here and work together, cooking, making tools and pottery, and preparing food to store for the cold winter months.
